“This is the start of an ongoing series of oil paintings documenting the private domestic spaces of the apartment that I am living in with my daughter. It is a way to preserve memories, to pay attention to things that might otherwise escape my notice. Subjects such as an unmade bed, things left on a table, the recently occupied living room, etc.

Our daily routines happen in these rooms, and after we leave them I look back and take a photograph or sketch. The exhibition features some of the paintings made from that material.”
