Through the interlacing of photographic media and sculpture the distinction between image and object are blurred in both directions. The result is an experience of media’s presence which incites a questioning of truth and representation itself in the digital age. In this exhibition hyperreal sculptures of banal objects from material culture act as backgrounds and vessels for what we refer to as an “image”. In essence, these objects act as metaphors, representations, and models of the ways we reflect the world back to ourselves through contemporary media.
