CIRCULATION

Books: Material in the circulating collection is available for three-week loans for all NSCAD undergraduate students, staff, and public patrons, and 60-day loan for faculty and graduate students of Novanet institutions.

Returning Library Materials: You can return items from any academic or public library in Nova Scotia to any other academic or public library in Nova Scotia.

Fines: Overdue items are charged daily at the following rates: $0.25/day for regular material, $1/day for recalled material, and $5/day for reserve/restricted loans.

INTERLIBRARY LOANS AND
NOVANET EXPRESS

The NSCAD library is a partner in an interlibrary loan consortium called the CAUL-DDG group. We use an automated system called Relais to manage the delivery of materials from one library to another for the use of our patrons. This system allows us to quickly order books, articles and other media from libraries around the world. In turn, we loan our circulating materials to patrons of libraries outside the Novanet system.

As a partner in Novanet, we also participate in a free document delivery service between Novanet libraries called Novanet Express.
