All shows are open to the public, and nearly all of them are free. We look forward to seeing you at NSCAD!

Spring Makers' Market
Come to NSCAD’s annual spring market featuring over 40 NSCAD students. Find anything from reworked clothing, to photos, paintings, ceramics, and more!

Aknutmatinej: Radical Curating Course
Aknutmatinej is a Mi’kmaw word meaning “they talk to each other.” This exhibition—created by Art History students in NSCAD’s Radical Curating course of Winter 2025—aims to foster community-building at the Treaty Space Gallery through a series of workshops and exhibited art works. Aknutmatinej activates space for all treaty people [everyone] to come together and have conversations, learn, and work to create something bigger than ourselves. Student Art Awards
NSCAD University is proud to present the annual NSCAD Student Art Award. This celebration of achievement is a recognition of our students’ outstanding work with one $5,000 purchase grand prize, and nine $1,000 best-in-category prizes. The grand prize-winning artwork will also be added to the President’s Art Bank, part of NSCAD University’s permanent collection.
The Student Art Award provides young artists across ten disciplines at the university with vital visibility as they embark on their careers.

Mend in Public Day
Join us for an afternoon of activism in support of sustainable fashion! Mend in Public Day is a day of collective action in support of sustainable fashion. Bring one or more items in need of mending, or come make a patch! Supplies, tools, support and instructors will be on hand at the event.

Fashion and Jewellery Show
Our Fashion Show showcases the work of new and emerging fashion designers and jewellers. From classic to abstract designs, our students speculate on the future of fashion and metalsmithing. Come to our Alderney Landing in Dartmouth for a jaw-dropping runway show conceptualized and crafted by our fashion and jewellery students.

Graduate Exhibition
The 2024 NSCAD Graduation Exhibition displays work from our graduating class of students at the Anna Leonowens Gallery. Curated by students, this exhibition showcases high-tier art works, celebrate the hard work of our graduates, and gives the public a sense of the breadth, depth, and quality of art made at NSCAD.
