NSCAD University and the Faculty Union of NSCAD Unit I reach tentative agreement

(K’jipuktuk/Halifax, NS) – NSCAD University (NSCAD) and the Faculty Union of NSCAD (FUNSCAD) Unit I are pleased to announce they have reached a tentative agreement in collective bargaining with their Regular Full-Time, Pro-Rated and Part-Time faculty.

The collective agreement expired on June 30, 2022 and the parties have been at the bargaining table since August in a facilitated approach to reach a new four (4)-year agreement. NSCAD extends its sincere appreciation to the Province of Nova Scotia for its support of the facilitated approach to reaching an agreement. Additional details will be available once the agreement is ratified by the FUNSCAD Unit I employees and the NSCAD University Board of Governors. It is expected that a ratification vote will be held as quickly as possible.
