(K’jipuktuk/Halifax, NS) – NSCAD University (NSCAD) and the Faculty Union of NSCAD (FUNSCAD) Unit II are pleased to announce they have reached a tentative agreement in collective bargaining with their technicians.
The collective agreement expired on June 30, 2022 and the parties have been at the bargaining table since October in a facilitated approach to reach a new four (4)-year agreement. Additional details will be available once the agreement is ratified by the FUNSCAD Unit II employees and the NSCAD University Board of Governors. It is expected that a ratification vote will be held as quickly as possible.
The university also extends its sincere appreciation to the members of both bargaining teams for their collegial and respectful efforts working together to reach an agreement.
