Permeations – Cullen Bingeman, MFA Thesis Exhibition

PermeationsCullen Bingeman, MFA Thesis Exhibition — Gallery 1
Artist Talk: Tuesday, March 26, 12 Noon

March 26 – 30, 2019
Opening reception: Monday, March 25, 5:30–7PM

This is an exhibition of drawings that builds on Cullen’s investigation of the ephemeral and elusive nature of tacit knowledge. Permeations, a word that combines the meaning of permutation and permeation, refers to an infinite number of possible variations while pointing to a silent constant that remains indivisible. Using the fluent and immediate qualities of ink, Cullen’s improvisational drawings serve as a record that document his investigation into the ineffable.
