How to set up your official NSCAD email account. 

All NSCAD students are assigned a NSCAD email address upon registration. You will use this same email address for the entirety of your time here at NSCAD. This email address will be the primary email address used to contact students, so it is very important that you regularly check this address.  

If you miss a class, test/exam, or are late for assignments/projects, it is your responsibility to contact your class instructor in advance to negotiate a solution to gain an extension on your class work. Please check your course syllabus for more details. 

 

Faculty or staff: emails most likely should fit the standard First Initial followed by Last Name @nscad.ca (some instructors as teaching assistants or master students should be the full name @nscad.ca).  

When you receive a NSCAD email address  

NSCAD University issues each student a personalized email address. Once you have returned the commitment statement and paid your commitment fee, the address is created for you. We will email your credentials to the personal email address provided on your application. If you have not received your email credentials in a timely manner, please begin by checking your email junk mail in case your email landed there.

How to use Office 365 webmail 

  1. Reset your password. You will receive an email from us with your NSCAD email address and a temporary password. Once you have received this information, we ask you to reset your password to one you will remember best and sync your passwords for access to all student portals. Resetting your password can be done  here. 
  1. Log into your Webmail account by using both your username and the @nscad.ca (e.g., janesmith@nscad.ca) and then enter your password. Further instructions for Office 365 can be found  here.
