ALUMNI
Brendan Tang’s journey from clay to television
Vancouver-born NSCAD alumni, Brendan Tang works with multiple mediums—including a life-size Ford F150 truck constructed out of watercolour paper—but is best known for his sculptural ceramics.
This is part of the reason he ended up as a judge on the inaugural season of CBC’s The Great Canadian Pottery Throwdown, executive produced by recreational potter and actor Seth Rogen.
Our graduates are known both locally and internationally for their boundless ingenuity and intense curiosity. Alumni go on to have incredible careers—within and beyond the art world—as artists, entrepreneurs, teachers, administrators, academics, and creative professionals. Their paths may be different but there is one thing they all share, their lives were shaped by their time at NSCAD.
