NSCAD University is very pleased to welcome Dr. Joshua Schwab-Cartas to its distinguished faculty as Assistant Professor, Art Education, Division of Art History and Contemporary Culture.
The MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning is seeking two NSCAD alumni who have graduated in the last two years to participate in a Community Studio Residency starting in September 2022. Located at 50 Queen St. in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia this year long residency is hosted by the MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning.
The NSCAD community extends heartfelt congratulations to Ivan Flores (@ivxnart), grand prize winner of the 2022 NSCAD Student Art Award. His submission is a collection of textiles entitled “Sleep Spit”, 2022.

NSCAD is pleased to announce that Luc Courchesne (BDes 1974) and Zainub Verjee will be awarded honorary degrees at the 2022 graduation ceremony on May 12.
NSCAD University is thrilled to announce the 10 finalists for the 2022 NSCAD Student Art Award. This award recognizes and promotes exceptional work made by NSCAD students. The winning artist will be awarded a $5,000 purchase prize for their artwork, which then becomes part of NSCAD University’s permanent collection. The remaining nine finalists will each receive $1,000. Get your tickets to the Student Art Awards Gala on May 6, 2022, which will feature an exhibition and reception with live music, a walking jewellery show and art sale, delicious food, and a cash bar.
