We are proud to share that Solomon Nagler, Professor of Media Arts and Film at NSCAD, has received a $75,000 Canada Foundation for Innovation JELF grant to fund the Community Mobile Media Lab (CMML).
Masks will be required in the library and in all indoor classrooms, studios and shops at all three NSCAD campuses, and are strongly encouraged in other common areas of our campus as well as the Art Store and the Anna Leonowens Gallery. Masks will be continue to be required for all Extended Studies courses.
NSCAD University is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Nicole Lee (she/her) as Assistant Professor, Art Education, Division of Art History and Contemporary Culture. Dr. Lee is an a/r/tographer (artist/researcher/teacher-educator) and curriculum theorist whose expertise is in artmaking and philosophizing in tandem to advance concepts.
NSCAD University is very pleased to announce the appointment of Marissa Y Alexander as Assistant Professor, Division of Craft (Ceramics). Alexander works predominantly with clay and her different streams of works are united by coil and line.
Dr. Peggy Shannon officially starts her new role as university president today, July 4, 2022. “I am thrilled to officially join the NSCAD community and I am looking forward to working with students, staff and faculty to establish a culture of meaningful engagement and to build sustainable creative futures,” said Dr. Shannon.
As of July 1, 2022, masks will no longer be required on NSCAD campuses. There may be members of the university community who choose to wear masks, and we support everyone’s right to do so.

Note: masks will be required for the Extended Studies summer camps.
