Carley Mullally (BFA 2015) found purpose in art during the pandemic. Their work is currently being exhibited at the SMU Art Gallery as part of a group exhibition called Crafts_Ship. The show features work by three artists from the South Shore, including Mullally, exploring the life of seafarers through various mediums.

The award has led Walker to reflect on what it means to be a teacher. “It is important we mentor in ways that push past the methods and examples we had, in hopes of achieving something even more progressive or just.”

Dr. Jayne Wark, a Professor in the Division of Art History and Contemporary Culture, has accumulated hundreds and hundreds of books in her 33-year career as a scholar.  Now in her last year at NSCAD, she is giving her book collection away to students.  

Deirdre Sokolowska says having space outside of class to hang out is especially important post-pandemic.

A new collaborative program called Mindful Campus aims to enhance student’s coping skills and create a supportive environment.
